Tired of waiting for the next season of Merlin BBC to come out? Well, wait no longer for Season 4 of the hit BBC series has finally come out! The first episode aired on Saturday October 1, 2011, and will be consist of a two-part opening special like the previous season. As of now, three episodes have already been aired. Like the previous season, this season will have thirteen episodes in total. It should also be noted that BBC has confirmed a fifth season of Merlin to air. Hooray!!

In this season, Uther is devastated from Morgana's betrayal from the previous season and now just sits around in his room sulking. As a result, everything has fallen onto Arthur's shoulders, and the young prince needs Merlin's help more than ever now. More challenges pop up to obstruct Merlin and company, and their very strengths will be tested. A new character also appears and this is Arthur's uncle. However, it will quickly be revealed that Agravaine de Bois (Nathaniel Parker)  may not be who he seems he is and that there is more to his story than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Morgana is still trying her best to bring down Camelot. The Knights of the Round Table are closer than ever now to Arthur. As always countless new characters will make appearances throughout the episodes. Who knows? We may even get to see more of old Merlin around! Kilgarrah the Dragon will also be making a reappearance in the show.

Things have gotten a lot darker now and it's up to Merlin to do some behind-the-scenes work to ensure that Arthur doesn't accidentally get himself killed in the process.
