I found this free game in the Blackberry owners lounge (Membership is Free). Its good old fashion game of American pool with a handy tutorial to get you started. The controls are easy to learn and the graphics are smooth, so you can focus on the game play.

Here's a classic checkers game you can play by yourself or another player. The game loads fast and can be a nice alternative to the usual games out there. The game level is good enough, the computer was able to beat me 3 to 1 out of the 4 games I played.
Playing with another player is more fun, but you do have to take turns and pass him your blackberry ( no bluetooth ). Pubchecker works with all the blackberry phones I tried making it a must game even for older phones.

Here's a nice classic bowling game you can get for free in the Blackberry Owners lounge. It's fast and works great with older Blackberry Phones. The game follows all the rules of bowling

Bubble Popper is a good old fashion color bubble popping which reminds me of the old puzzle bubble games I use to play a few years ago and also the frozen bubble game in my asus eee. The game play is very addictive but had a hard time getting it to work, but it did work in my Blackberry.

Galactic Blast is a classic shooter game created by Synthetic Dream. What makes this game special is the fact you can make changes like change the ships into your face or to any other object you like. All you have to do is follow the instructions in the developers website, but if you just want to have a classic space shooter game its a fun game to have on your phone.

Caveman is a strategy game that deals with pushing block or dirt to get coins. Completing a level mean collecting all the coins. But its gets harder when you accidentally crush an egg that hatches a creature that can take your life.

The most recognizable game in the world has just been converted for the Blackberry. In the classic video game hall of fame Pac-man should be in the top of the list. I have never been a pac-man expert but I highly enjoy playing it ever since I was a kid. I have to say thank you to the developer for doing such a great job, it works great with my blackberry.

This is its one of my favorite currency converter. The software is very light. As soon as I had it installed, I now had neatly organized list of world currencies and a special section for recently used currencies. When it retrieves the rates I wanted, it display's the information almost instantly. I think the developers have done a great job with fxconverter, its simple and gets the job done.

When Ebay released their official Blackberry application, it was just common sense a Paypal would follow. You don't need to see far to the future to predict that mobile payment system is going to be big, its just a matter of time before people get use to it.


Paypal's app for the Blackberry is simple enough to use to send money, I just wish they added an invoice feature so I can request money from my customers. That would have made made this software perfect for business users. But overall its a must have app and better than using your phone's browser to access paypal.

Without any access to BIS or BES new owners are stuck with checking their email using the Blackberry Browser. Here a simple Blackberry Software that will allow you to get emails without using your browser.



Mobiquus is a software that works similar to the Gmail App but can be installed without using a data plan. Its not true push email which comes out in your Blackberry's inbox but an applications that works by getting your email the moment it arrives in the server. There are two options for Mobiquus to get your email Push and Polling. Using the polling feature you can set Mobiquus to get your email depending on how many minutes you allow it.

Using Mobiquus with an unlocked Blackberry I was able to get my mails with very minimal delay. I did change they setting to polling to conserve battery but using the Push mail function was very nice.

If your still waiting for the Blackberry OS6 update or using OS5, here's a new update of the super fast Bolt browser. The new update supports HTML 5 and online backup for your bookmarks. The support for HTML 5 enables video and audio streaming support.

Facebook is going to release Facebook mail on Monday. There's no word yet on the released date for the Blackberry Facebook mail app or if its going to be integrated the current Facebook App. What make Facebook mail special is if they are going to use fb.com as the domain name making it the shortest email address available.


One things for sure, looking at how the largest social network is getting excited about their new email product proves that email is still the most powerful communication tool. Stay tuned on Monday for the release and on when we can add Facebook Mail inside BIS.

Color Virus is very enjoyable puzzle game that uses colors to represent a virus attacking different cells. Similar to a virus you change your color to match the blocks around you increasing the size of the blocks you occupy. Don't worry you can still use Chat for Facebook application and it's free. This application called FACE CHAT. There are some Facebook chat application but most of them is paid application. This Face Chat app, totally free.

FaceChat - Free Facebook Chat App provided by The Jared Company. I have tried this application, so far this is simply usefull app. Only if it showed a notification icon on home screen like incoming text msg or email, it would be better. Its the only thing lacking. Rest all is good.
